3 Things you need to know about Beckenham's Night of Honour

I often get asked to explain how Beckenham's Night of Honour works so here are 3 things everyone needs to know!

1) It's fun!
Beckenham's Night of Honour is all about thanking the unsung heroes of our community. It's about honouring those who work tirelessly to make our community a great place to live and work so everything about it is lots of fun! All the winners are nominated by the public, and those shortlisted for an award are then invited to a red carpet event in November where the winners are revealed!

2) Nominating is fun!
We all know someone who goes the extra mile and nominating them for an award is a really fun way of saying thank you! One of my favourite tasks is letting people know that they've been nominated for an award and that their hard work is really appreciated!

We've made the nomination process as simple as we can, in fact we welcome tweets, facebook messages, phonecalls, letters and faxes just as much as our online nomination form beckenhamsbest.co.uk/nomination.php We simply ask for enough information about your unsung hero so that we can have fun finding out more.
We've created 10 different award categories that cover all aspects of community life so you can guarantee there will be one that's just right for your unsung hero.

3) 17th November is Fun!
We roll out the red carpet and invite those shortlisted for an award to a champagne reception followed by and an evening of great entertainment, uplifting stories and of course the presentation of the awards. The evening is attended by the Mayor of Bromley, local councillors, head teachers, police and other community leaders as well as lots of friends and family of those nominated. A small number of tickets are made available for the public so watch this space for more info!
